Polycrystalline CBN cutters

    Polycrystalline CBN cutters are mainly applied for turning of hardened steel and difficult-to-cut materials with high speed. By using this cutter that single procedure (heat treatment, rough turning, semi-finish turning, finish turning) can be applied instead of a series of procedures (rough machining, heat treatment, finishing or semi-finishing , abrasive machining).
    Polycrystalline CBN cutters are mainly applied for rough turning and finish turning.



Instructions for using the Polycrystalline CBN cutters

    Polycrystalline cubic bond nitride (PCBN) cutters are designed for rough and finishing turning on high hardness materials of gray cast iron (iron content less than 10%), alloy cast iron,chilled cast iron, high-chromium cast iron, high manganese steel casting, hardened steel, overlaying welding materials.

• Choose the right cutter according to different cutting materials.
• Before using, assembling the blades accurately with firm pressure in avoidance of any damage caused by false fixing.
• To properly assembling the cutter on the machine.
• Keep cleaning the cutter groove and integrate blade with cutter properly and keep it in the right condition when blade is indexing.
• Keep checking cutter groove, spacer and binder plate and change immediately for any deformation and damage.
• Chamfer the parts by using non-CBN cutter before machining.
• Keep checking working condition of cutters when turning, in case of abnormality stop the machine immediately to check and remove the faults.
• When using the CBN cutters, keep eye on the machine working with good rigidity, small vibrancy and transmission of small pieces of space.
